This is probably a bad idea...

But I was wondering about voting and people's political belifs. Here at the library we registered 288 new voters for the Nov. election. In listening to students talk it seems the majority of them are voting or at least state they are voting how their parents or friends tell them to.
So my question is how do you decide who to vote for?
I try to find out as much information about each candidate as possible, for example I have visited the websites for both Ken Blackwell and Ted Strickland and have also watched the televisied debates (these can also be viewed online incase you missed them). I don't always trust what I read in the newspapers or online because that is somebody else's opinion and I want to form my own opinion. I also don't always vote a straight party ticket (voting for all Democrates or Republicans even if you know nothing about the candidate).
Please do not post any comments about political parties, that isn't what this posting is about, but rather what information is important to you when making these decisions that could change the future of the state/country.
