Flying

Some of you know that I recently attended a conference in New Orleans, which was a great conference. However my trip home was not great. I had to wake up at 4 am to make sure I could catch the airport shuttle at 4:55am. My flight from New Orleans to Dallas was fine. The trouble started at Dallas. The plane from Cleveland was a little late, so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes. Then they get on the speaker and say that the maintaince crew needed to come look at the plane. Two hours later they tell us the problem is fixed and we can get on the plane. We get on the plane and sit for 45 minutes, then they say the maintaince crew is comming back out, then they say the plane is broken and they will find another plane. So we all get off the plane. 20 minutes later they cancell the flight. So I stand in line for 1 1/2 hours waiting to find out how American Airlines is planning on getting me home. They weren't planning on getting me home until the following night via Chicago or New York. I told them to fly me into Pittsburgh, which they did and I arrived at midnight, only to find that they had lost my bag! We didn't get home until 2:30, then the dogs in their excitment to see me kept us up until about 4. Still no bag, so no makeup or hair stuff. I look so bad my boss told me to take tomorrow off!
