What did I do?

Last week I help a workshop for some of the education faculty on incorporating information literacy into their course curriculum. I targeted the faculty of the 4 main undergraduate courses. Over the last week I have been overrun with requests for instruction. I have 29 instruction sessions scheduled for the next month and a half. I am still waiting to hear from the one professor who teaches 10 sections of the education technology course. So I will probably end up teaching about 45 sessios this semester!
Don't get me wrong this is great, but I kind of feel like the guy in Little Shop of Horrors. The plant is great at first, then it quickly grows out of control, until you have to feed it entire bodies. I sure hope I don't have to sacrafice anything.

Can you talk to your boss about recruiting some help? You can only do so much. You're just one librarian, and while that is a serious force to be reckoned with, getting the rest of the gang in on the action will benefit the whole university.

As they say...THIS is why you make the big bucks. Probably the only things you'll have to sacrifice are your sanity and your free time. Feel free to send Paul to Texas and we'll take care of him until you're done. Although, something tells me you won't be big on this idea. Good luck!
