The birds and the cats!

Well, we had a very interesting time lastnight around 9:30. We were getting ready to go upstairs for the evening when we heard some cats outside making noise. Paul closed all the downstairs windows to discourage our cats from trying to get outside. He opened the front door to see what all the noise was when a bird (a sparrow to be specific) flew into our living room.
I thought the cats were going to go crazy. Indiana (our little hunter) decided he needed to catch the bird to prove his skill and worth. So Indiana is jumping after the bird (he actually caught it twice) and Paul is chasing Indiana and the bird. The bird flew behind the couch and under the chair, so all the furniture ended up in the middle of the living room floor. Paul finally caught the bird by throwing a towel over it and put it outside.
Don't worry Indiana didn't hurt the bird the few times he caught it. He looked very upset that we put his evening entertainment outside beyond his reach.

Ah, never a dull moment at the Earp household. Paul should start his own show on the Animal Planet. Call it something like, "Paul Earp: Cat Whisperer". Or Paul Earp's Wild Kingdom. Maybe he can come up with a nice Australian accent. Paul Earp: Sparrow Hunter. Now there's a show that would keep you on the edge of your seat. Will Paul save the bird before it ends up in the vicious and deadly jaws of the most deadliest cats found in Ohio. Stay tuned!!!

I'd watch that show... But I think he should mix it up a bit so I recommend an Irish accent - almost Lucky Charms Irish accent. I'd totally watch that!

Super Trooper moustache - indeed!

I've already been on national TV, had my fifteen minutes of fame and 10 years of infamy. What's a star typically make in Hollywood these days?

Vanessa was very helpful in trapping the bird. If it had been the canary that lives up the road, we'd have figured a way to keep it.
