Semester Starts!

so, the semester is starting a week from today and I am already getting ready to go crazy.
This morning I had a workshop for some of the education faculy, and now they all want to schedule research instruction for their students. Which is great, but that is going to be almost 50 session, plus the 15-20 grad sessions I usually teach!
I am going to an education departmental meeting tomorrow to talk about the research project I am starting with the graduate research assistant.
I have a meeting on wednesday for the university orientation class that I will be teaching this fall.
What was I thinking?????

The life of a librarian. Ain't it grand. The more I hear about your job, the more I realize I may want to avoid the world of academia altogether and stick to the quiet and uneventful life of the public library. Although, a nice small academic library would be nice. Someplace like Hooter University where some of the greatest waitresses attend to master the art of serving hot wings. Now THAT would be a nice place to be a librarian. I would go out of my way to help the student "body". Can I get an AMEN to that Paul!

why not? they have a hotel, casino, and had an airline...

the franchise should be worth millions - the first Hooters College of Restaraunt Services and Library - it would make spending thousands of dollars for an education at least seem worth it (to guys, anyways).
