The craziness has begun

Well, the semester started today. The students moved back last week and on the first night a group of Freshman got busted drinking in their dorm. Ahh, to be a freshman....
I started my Ph.D classes today. This semester I am taking two, Law & Higher Education, and Employement Law. They meet on Monday's from 11-5. It is not an ideal situation, but they were the classes that fit into my schedule with the least disruption. In future semesters it won't be so difficult because I will register for classes well before I make out my work schedule.
Tomorrow will be the first shift for me on the desk this semester, it is always interesting to see the confused and lost students. The Research Methods class I teach meets on Wednesdays, so my first class is in a couple of days. I am more comfortable teaching it since I taught in the Summer. It will be nice to have the class spread out over 15 weeks meeting only once per week, instead of twice per week for 5 weeks.

I'm sure you'll do just fine this semester...as usual. I hope you have a great group of students who are eager to learn all the ins and outs of the library world. Just be sure not to get so busy that your garden gets neglected. Good luck with both.

You have enough cats to remember the famous poster of the cat hanging precariously from a branch with the words "Hang in there, baby!" printed below...
