Sewing

This past weekend I did something I never thought I would/could do. I sewed curtains for our kitchen. Paul was given a gift card to JoAnne Fabrics for Christmas and we finally decided to use it. They were having a sale on their upholstery material, 50% off. We picked a yellow fabric with red roosters. I looked at the fabric and knew I should hate it, but I just loved it. Somebody told me it was very french provincial (whatever that means).
Paul did the measuring and I did the cutting, ironing, and most of the sewing. Paul sewed the red edging on (we were using yellow thread and I didn't want any mistakes showing) and he also sewed the pull backs. It is amazing how much color they bring to the kitchen.

Very impressive. The color looks great for your kitchen. Nice seam work, very professional looking. That's a nice talent to have. It also saves a lot of money to do stuff like that yourself.

Very nice are you guys now taking orders for curtain sewing? I think that's the only way Logoann will finish her curtains ;-)
