Spring
Well, the snow has started to melt. We actually had a 50 degree day last week and it has been in the upper 30's a couple of days. It is strange to actually think 30 degrees is warm. It has always amazed me that 50 degrees in the spring is warm, but 50 degrees in the fall is cold.
The change in seasons is one of the things I missed most living in Texas. In the next few weeks I'll start ordering seeds for the garden. Paul bought me a little greenhouse stand so I can try to start seeds instead of buying plants. I have poured through catalogs and have selected flower seeds and veggie seeds. We have even sketched out the addition to the garden, although we need to discuss the size of the additions. We currenlty have one raised bed and it isn't big enough. So we are going to add another larged bed and maybe 3 or 4 smaller beds for plants that vine or climb. We also need to get out this week, while we are sure the trees are dorment, and prune the apple trees and weeping cherry.
Come on spring.

It's all good, I get to chop stuff and saw stuff and dig and cut and hammer, all that testosterone type activity that is sharply curtailed during winter weather.
Don't forget the smaller heating bills! I'm really looking forward to that...
