The papers have been signed

Yes it is now official, we are homeowners at the ripe old ages of 29 and 44. I am really excited about the house, we have lots of ideas. The only problem is that now that we own the house, I don't want to spend any money!
I thought I would feel different, but I don't. I think I will sit out on the front porch tonight and drink a glass of wine while looking over my flower beds. I'll post some picutres soon.

I know just the wine to drink. I'll put in the frig to chill... probably should do the budget first though.

CONGRATULATIONS! Don't worry about being in debt. It's good debt... it's nothing like credit debt or oweing money to the mob. You're building equity.

Ah, to be in debt up to your eyeballs. That is truly the American way. You two can now carry on the tradition that many young married couples have taken part in for centuries. To not be in debt would surely be cause for concern. Where would the motivation to work come from without debt? How would one better the all-important credit score without debt? So be proud and hold your heads high knowing you'll be paying thousands of dollars for the next 30 years or so. It's GOT to make you both sleep better at night. Oh...and congrats on the new house. ;-)

Congrats! Ahh to be a responsible adult! It's all an investment so dont' worry about the improvements. - Remind me of this when I have a house and am feeling the same as you are now.
