Ahhh finals weeks!

Is there anything better than watching students frantically rush around trying to finish up projects that they have had weeks to do? I sit at the desk, and watch them stake out computers and camp out most of the day. I am not a mean person, infact I work very hard to help these students who have procrastinated so long. But come on, if your paper is due at 5pm, don't you think you should have come to the library a little earlier than 11am? Under all the desperation and fear is the scent of hope and freeness. Yes most of the students will be free of school related worry in just a few short days,in fact some may be free of that now, having finished their finals today. What really makes me smile is knowing that next spring 2 of the frantic rushing students will be my nephew and husband!

You can stick a fork in me because I am done with both my classes for the semester. But there is little time to relax. My mini-semester class starts this Monday. Then the summer session classes start just 2 weeks after that. So for the upcoming weekend I plan on becoming one with my couch and remote control. Plus I should be in a permanent state of intoxication. The beer is cold and the chips and dips are stockpiled. Paul, feel free to stop by. We'll eat, drink, and dog the Schuenemans all weekend long.

You my friend are assuming that these students only had ONE thing to do for the weeks before finals week. Sure anyone can get ONE thing done in a more timely manner. But these poor souls have had homeworks and papers and tests which all came due just before the finals. And let's not forget that many of them have jobs and other responsibilities they are trying to fullfill as well. They are not to be made fun of, but pitied for their heavy burdens...
