It's begining to look like Christmas

Well, we started decorating the house this week. If we weren't leaving for Texas we would have waited until the weekend before Christmas (we leave the decorations up until January 11/12 which is the end of the Christmas season), but since we won't be here we started a little early. Here are some basic photos, once the house is finished I'll post more.

Here is Paul messing with the tree. Last year we just put it in the attic and didn't take it apart. When we were bringing it downstairs this weekend, Paul slipped and "broke the tree's neck", but luckily he is handy and was able to fix it!

Awh, nothing says Christmas like the lights in a tangled heap on the floor.

Ok, so I have this fancy garland that we put up on the cabinets each year. Evidenlty Paul didn't feel he needed the step stool.

Inky is enjoying her time with fake garland......

All the cats are enjoying the feeling of the outdoors, eventhough it is fake.

I think breaking a tree's neck is a felony in most states. Luckily Paul didn't break his neck while standing on the counter. You should seriously consider investing in a small step ladder. It could save you lots of money in hospital bills.

Our cats have a bad habit of chewing on the fake Christmas trees like it's real catnip. You would think cats would be smarter than that.

It's cool down here in South Texas but it's not Ohio-cold by a long shot so you guys should really enjoy the break. Lows tonight will be near freezing but the highs will be near 60 and plenty of sunshine.

It'll be nice to have you all back in Texas again. I'll start storing up the liquor cabinet.

You guys need to get on the ball and update this blog. I'm getting tired of reading it over and over. LOL.
